I really enjoyed the classic double room and all facilities in it. The location was fabulous central - walking distance to everywhere I wanted to go. Good access everywhere as a train station was walking distance to the hotel.

great location, but breakfast could improve
The location stood out. The terrace view offered a lovely backdrop for my morning routine. The cleanliness of the room was excellent.
While breakfast was pleasant, it fell short of being nice.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station where there is a bus to/from the airport, so one can just walk to the hotel upon arrival in Palermo. We had an apartment (in a separate building around the corner) with a kitchen/dining room, bedroom, balcony, and a large bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the roof terrace was very good (though not included in our room rate) and there is a great view of the city. It's easy to walk from the hotel to many of Palermo's tourist attractions, like the Norman Palace and the cathedral.
There was no hot water. Since we were there only one night we didn't call the reception to ask how to make it work, and fortunately it was summer so a cold shower is not so bad. Although the bathroom is very large the shower is so tiny, you can hardly move around in it and if you're overweight you may not be able to get in at all! I'm only 115 pounds and could hardly move around in it. Although not the hotel's fault, the view from the balcony of our apartment was awful. It's so trashy. It appears that one building beside the hotel is abandoned. However there are lots of buildings like this in Palermo, which is the one of the dirtiest cities I have seen in Europe.

Spacious room, lovely terrace with breakfast, enjoyed fine city views from the bar area above while being conveniently located just a short walk from many attractions and a bus stop for easy access to the beach.
Nothing bad to say.

Very enjoyable stay for three days in a large room with high ceilings. Staff were excellent and answered our many questions about directions, restaurants, etc. The terrace overlooking the city is very lovely and a wonderful spot for breakfast or drinks in the evening. In fact, we spent almost every night there -- sampling Sicilian wines suggested by the knowledgeable sommelier/bartender. Location was very convenient for visiting the markets and seeing major historical sights.
Our room was somewhat noisy -- on the street. Would have enjoyed fresh orange juice at breakfast.

We were treated very friendly and the staff was always helpful and caring. The rooftop cafe was excellent for long breakfasts not to mention the magnificent view on the town. Though the hotel did not provide a dinner possibility, the waiter at the rooftop cafe asked the cooks to bake us fresh croissants which were delicious. As our flight was delayed for many hours we were allowed to leave our luggage to the luggage room.
